Using a plinth

Post by lehughes »

Hi Laurie,

I've just been watching your fab video on MSI. I noticed that you're assessing your dog on a plinth. I've never done this; I've always used the floor but using a plinth could be so much easier at times! Can you offer me any guidance on when and why you choose a plinth over the floor?

Thanks
EG

Hi E,

I can answer your question - short and sweet. The plinth was simply to get a better camera angle. In clinic I almost 100% use the floor.
The only dog cases I’ve used a plinth for were small dogs that wanted sooo badly to be in their owners lap (but it was perhaps inappropriate for me to be in the owners lap as well, that we used a plinth as a table between us that the dog could be on! ;) 8-)

All the best!

Cheers,

Laurie
