A friend asked me if physical therapy treatments are helpful with masticatory myositis?
Didn't see anything except treatments with medication in a brief online search, so I am turning to the expert!

Hey there!

I would treat like I would for any other inflammation.
Heavy doses of laser.
MAYBE gentle massage of MFR around the head and neck
And some active chewing / mouth exercises (i.e. peanut butter on the lips)… just just small amounts of this, as too much might flare.
And yes… WITH medication.
