Thermal Imaging

Post by lehughes »

Quick question. Do you use digital thermal imaging? I am considering purchasing a unit and would love to know your thoughts!

Hey M,

Sorry for my tardy reply. I bought a digital thermal imaging unit (second hand unit from a client). We used it for our Sporting Dog Assessment Day.
What was interesting, it didn’t find anything that the therapists didn’t find with their manual assessment.
The way I look at it… our physio fingers & brains are 100% better at finding issue. So, it’s a gimmick! If you want to use it, you sell it as part of a ‘superior’ service, and get owners to ‘buy in’ that what you offer is 'superior'.
But does it help you to find things that you wouldn’t find otherwise? No.
So if you are looking for a ‘marketing tool'… then by all means. If you are looking for something to help your diagnostics, you don’t need it!
My 2 cents.

I hope this helps!

Cheers!
