Erchonia Laser

Post by puppylove »

Good Day,
Does anyone have any familiarity with the Erchonia brand of laser? I have seen the PL5000 used in human chiro offices but no info in the veterinarian literature (unless you count the manufacturer website). As far as I can gather, you can still have frequency specific treatment with lower power. I know this will affect absorption and time of treatment, but it seems very safe overall.

Thank You,
Missi

Hey Missi,

So if you break down the power and the wavelength. Yes, it's safe. Safe like a pointer laser. Safe like your remote car start. Safe like the scanner at the grocery store.
However with the wavelengths it uses (in the 600nm range), penetration will be less than 1cm, and the target tissue is primarily skin. The power (7.5mW) means that it would take you 133 seconds to deliver one joule of energy.

I'd not put my money there. What science IS available and unbiased tells us the information I gave you above.

Sorry...
