Cart Fitting

Post by Philippa »

Hi All,

Is there any online (or other) information/training on how to fit carts? I'm in the UK.

Thank you,

Philippa.

That is an excellent question. In my clinic, my business partner is our 'go to' for that stuff. Not just measuring, but also modifying and refitting carts. I have said we need to film her - but we haven't yet!

So, here are some things I have found online:
(Cut and paste them into a browser bar, or right click and select open in new window or tab... clicking on them doesn't work in this forum platform no matter how many ways I try to set it up!!!)

This is a FB Live with the creator of Eddie's Wheels:

And this is their website: https://www.eddieswheels.com/

Then there are the info pkgs from the different companies as well. Here is K9 Carts (US)
https://k9carts.com/adjust-wheelchair/

Here's an article - Typical problems with a dog wheelchair:
https://handicappedpetscanada.com/typic ... heelchair/

This website has links on measuring for a Walkin Wheels w/c:
https://handicappedpetscanada.com/measu ... heelchair/

Looks like Walkin Wheels is used a lot in the UK and/or has UK distributors:
https://wheels4dogs.co.uk/

Not sure if this helps... but a video would be grand. Hmmm....

Thanks Laurie, I'll go and look up the links.

Would definitely be up for a video training on this! If you have time to schedule it in for 2021.

Best wishes,

Philippa

I've thought of this for a while now as well! However, it's my business partner that fits most of the carts. I've been trying to get her to video one (or many) of her sessions before. However timing is always crazy and unpredictable. BUT, it is still on my radar!

Here's another program I've found! A certification for fitting the Walking Wheels Cart!

Hopefully this can get you started... until I can get a video!

All the best,

Laurie
