Do you really need a fax machine?

Post by KimB »

I'm just curious if anyone really needs a fax machine for communicating with vets and referral forms. It seems like most clinics are ok to send information and forms via email? What has been your experience with this?
Thanks

Well, this is an interesting question.
I do think it's still a common piece of equipment and we use it at my clinic frequently.

But I'd be interested to hear what others are finding!!

Great question!

Hi,
I'm just cruising around and saw this post. I do have some clinics that still fax and do not email. I use a service, www.myfax.com. It's easy to use and is 10 bucks per month. I don't need to buy a fax machine or set up another phone line, I get my faxes on my email, can send faxes from my laptop and if I need to scan something in I use dropbox or a pdf app to do this. Super easy!
Best,
Sarah
