Elastic Bands for Dynamic Stability

Post by lehughes »

Hi Laurie,

Have you seen this article?
My girlfriend’s vet showed this to her and wants her to try it.

Hey S!

Okay, so I saw this going around Facebook via a number of animal physios I know.  It looks like high quality research, and it involves a friend and colleague of mine, Narelle Stubbs (so right there, it has to be brilliant!)  I know that Narelle for years has been using bands as well as kinesiotaping to do all sorts of things to get horses to move differently, engage their core, etc.

All in all, I think it’s quite ‘sound’!  And much like I find when tying a band around a dog’s abdomen!  Now I want to try two bands, one at the abdomen and one at the chest!

Thanks for asking and bringing this to my attention again!

Cheers,

Laurie
