Gait observation in the UWTM

We are in the process of adding UWTM and I want to be able to watch the gait when they are in the UWTM . Mirrors would be great but unfortunately not going to work where the UWTM will be at.

I would like a camera that we could mount and then see up on a monitor. Techno I'm not.

Does anyone use something similar?
What camera are you using?
How are you mounting it with the treadmill especially so it doesn't get wet!

Does your 'Treadmill-to-be" not have an open viewing side?

I would just get a tripod and a camera. You could even get the plastic wrap to go over it that photographers use.

Many dogs don't require you to be IN the treadmill with them. In which case, your iphone does a great job - especially when you can watch it reply at slow motion!

I have an underwater camera ( a camera used for detecting issues underneath boats) for assessing gait in the uwtm. it is awesome, and i have it hooked up to a tv for real time so owners can see what theri dog is doing...a great tool for fixing gait issues.

I always tell my students, it is most important to be with the dog in the uwtm so you can fix gait issues. does the dog externally rotate, pivot shift, etc...when you are in the uwtm you can fix these issues...I believe it is not enough to allow them to walk without therapist input.
