Theraplate with FCE?

Post by lehughes »

Just want to double check real quick. I've watched the neuro videos and videos on vibration plate. It's good to do vibration plate for FCE (with as if needed), right?

And exercise therapy can begin as soon as any swelling or inflammation resides?

Hi J,

Okay, so I think it would be 100% okay to use a vibration plate for an FCE.
And yes exercise can begin quite soon… really, just so long as there isn’t a regression of symptoms shortly after incident (i.e. progression of neuro signs).
Essentially the damage is done right away. So you could start as early as the following day. There’s no way of knowing about swelling / inflammation… you’re not going to do daily / weekly imaging. So basically, you are looking for ‘clinically’ stable to be able to proceed.

I hope this helps!

Cheers,
