Weight bearing front vs hind

Post by lehughes »

Hi Laurie,

Sorry to bother you when I know you are busy. I remember finding info on your site about the percentage of weight a dog carries on hind versus front limbs and then how this percentage is effected by a hind and front limb amputation and how much more weight then gets transferred to the remaining limbs. Do you know where I can find this?

Cheers,
SB

Yep!

Using the search function on the Members side, I searched it - I remember it was a blog.

Normal is 30% - 30% in fronts and 20- 20 rears.

Cheers,

Laurie
