Arthroscopy question

Hey orthopaedic surgeons,

What is the difference between this:

It is a very small "needle" scope - in humans they can use it on you awake and see directly into your joint.
It is for diagnosis (i.e. ACL partial tears or meniscal tears), so you don't need an MRI; it is not used for treatment. Can also be used for second look arthroscopy to assess treatment of partial ACL tears or look at cartilage and any other structures in the joint that you may be monitoring.
For a dog you would still need to sedate them I suspect to hold still.
Dr. Sherman Canapp uses it.
