Carpal laxity syndrome

Discussion related to the musculoskeletal system - injuries, post-op, lameness, extremity issues (joint, muscle, tenon, fascia...), axial skeleton issues, etc., as it relates to canine rehabilitation.

Carpal laxity syndrome

Post by vee »

I am inheriting a carpal laxity syndrome case from a colleague(flexion deformity). I am seeing it tomorrow but I was just wanted to know if anyone has had any good news stories. They have tried splinting/ bandaging/mobilizations under general anesthetic/ mobilizing etcetera. They are hoping that we can do more in the pool ( we have a hydro pool) to strengthen the upper limb.
The pup is 4 m old.
Any advice welcome

I'm not sure I am seeing what this dog looks like.
Can you take a picture or elaborate more?

Thanks!
