Re: MSI/MSS

Thanks for the replies. She is doing so-so. Still intermittently 1-3/5 lame and still keeping the shoulder very neutral, not wanting to put it into extension. No knuckling anymore. When passively stretching it she will allow me to stretch into full shoulder extension but won’t do it herself even whe...

Re: Excessively flexed toes

Thanks. Unfortunately I didn't feel any difference in any of the tendons in elbow flexion or extension. O will seehow she goes, I couldn't really think of anything surgical either that might help.

Re: Excessively flexed toes

Thanks Laurie Yes super weird! Only on front feet but O has seen both front feet, more R than L. Her feet definitely aren’t super tight, if anything they are more lax with more of a hare foot (definitely not cat foot). Whatever this is, do you think anything might be treatable and prognosis for agil...

Excessively flexed toes

Hi Laurie Had an odd one today (not one of mine for once!) F.S 2yo Springer Spaniel who intermittently excessively flexes/grabs with the toes of her front feet. Can do it when lying down but also when she is training agility, O has seen it doing 2o2o contacts, also thinks she has seen it when landin...

Re: MSI/MSS

Sad update- she went in and had the scope and found the shoulder was in a bad way. Marked damage to medial ligament, supraspinatus and biceps (approx 50%) torn. Damage to the cartilage. He took her to MS surgery/stabilisation and then decided to cut her biceps tendon (without bothering to pick up th...

Re: MSI/MSS

Thanks for the reply, David. Yes she's had quite a lot of shockwave, hitting the medial aspect of the shoulder as best I can. No one doing stem cells here currently, to my knowledge. May I ask why you think the surgery doesn't have a high chance of returning to high level activity? Would the suture ...

Re: MSI/MSS

Thanks for the reply, Laurie. Yes, that's what I'm leaning towards sadly. Hopefully David will chime in, I am seeing the surgeon tomorrow for an MRI on my other dog but I will discuss with him. My experience with it so far is n=1 , as this surgeon is relatively new to perth and the others don't beli...

MSI/MSS

Hi Laurie, This is a continuation of the previous topic/same dog but I've started a new thread as her Teres feels fine but she is still lame :( I'm very concerned about MSI. She doesn't have pain on abduction but her dorsal shoulder muscles have been consistently super tight as have her pecs, and sh...
