Vibration platform
Hi Laurie Which vibration platform did you buy? I looked over here and couldnt find any that had the right Hz in Australia, have to buy from US. Most of them didnt show what Hz they were and the ones that did were too low.. or really $$$ I looked at this one: https://www.amazon.com/NexHT-Vibration-R...

Re: Spinal manipulations
I don't deep massage (equissage) or stretch my guys <48hours before a trial. The vet I used to see to get MTP work said on leash for 48 hours.. the chiro usually says low impact for 48 hours too. I will do some mobes on spines if they are sore on the day/previous night of trials, I havent seen any n...

Re: Why the soft wobble devices?
Huh. So interesting reading this, as it mirrors my recent thoughts. I have been in agility a long time.. 18 years, have put 3 agility champions on dogs, many national wins, dog of the years etc. I have ALL of the inflatable gear. And it is all in a cupboard gathering dust. Decided the risk of injury...

Re: Hock OCD- should I do surgery?
Thanks for the reply, David. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but, what can you treat with laser that you cant treat with shockwave? My understanding is shockwave is useful for OA, muscle tears/strains, ligament damage. What extra do you use the laser for ? Or is it that you need to sedate to use t...

Re: Hock OCD- should I do surgery?
Hi Laurie and David Thought I would give you an update. Did 4 sessions of shockwave 1 week apart and at the trial on the weekend she didnt knock ANY bars in the 4 runs, which is unheard of for her. So, pretty impressed! I am dropping the shockwave to every 2nd week now for the rest of the season, an...

Re: Hock OCD- should I do surgery?
Thanks for your reply, Laurie. That is very interesting, and makes sense to me. This was the reply from the ortho vet that did the CT: "There is no obvious OA in Zen's tibiotarsal joints. The OA present is what i discussed with Michael - it is the normal overstrain changes we see in the intertarsal ...

Re: Hock OCD- should I do surgery?
Thanks for your reply Laurie. Makes total sense. Yes she is on joint supplements- lyprinol (this is the same as Antinol, green lip mussel), undenatured collagen, pentosan injections and PEA (this is a human chronic pain drug that we are starting to experiment with in animals). She gets daily sardine...

Re: Hock OCD- should I do surgery?
Thank you SO much David, that is SUCH a helpful answer and now I feel like I can stop tossing and turning and trying to decide what to do! Not sure how much the amantadine is doing, really. Just have her on it as she cant tolerate much else. My thinking is, if she gets worse later on when she is ret...
